Do you want to travel back in time to Medieval ages into the era of swords and horses? If that so, there are a lot of games which take you over there but along with your favorite game, “The Sims” from EA Games, it would be an ideal tour. The latest release of Sims series is, The Sims Medieval from Electronic Arts. There are numerous releases of The Sims game on PC version but recently Apple App store has also received a lot of updates including this one.

The game is designed showing the different people and different era so it means that obviously there will be many changes in game play as well. The foremost to highlight is that just after the initialization of your character, you will not be asked to socialize with other people as you do in case of other Sims games of past. The major difference is that in the beginning you will get some of the tasks which are contrary to just socializing and screwing around making kissy faces at other sims.

In short it can be said that like all other Sims games the player experience is not at all going to be of random like other games but will be little more demanding and directed. This is liked much more than previous versions by many of the people who are game lovers.. It is said that people like changes to happen and this is the true example of a successful change. The Sims Medieval success took place due to change in game design in terms of directed approach. In the opinion of most of people, if this would not have been the case then the purpose of this game could be spoiled completely in all respects. So we can come to this conclusion that it will not be a traditional Sims game and even then you are going to love it!

There are all new demands for the player in this game, in which you will have to roam around in village with a responsibility of various tasks time to time. These tasks are of different nature which will mostly involve you to help people along with occasional fights as and when required. You might find yourself fishing sometime, but remember this fact that this version of The Sims requires your victory at larger level instead of smaller and local missions / tasks. Most of the time you will find yourself in the village performing such tasks.

Different game means different at some stages, some game play and tasks, otherwise your basic experience of other version will not vanish all the way. You can still fall in love, change outfit of home without designing, eat, sleep and everything else but the sand box will remain in motion showing that you can play the game in forward momentum. Your aim is become master of everything then become a wizard to join a party so that you are able to run a castle.You have a number of options to switch between tasks, if you are bored of routine tasks then task like pick pocketing or something else is also there to change the mood. He invites few people to join his all new religion but if someone is unwilling to join then you will hit him but you cannot kill any one which seems a little unfortunate.

There are a few shortcomings in the game too out of which at times you will face a less responsive touch. It will be overcome with next updates. Similar and repetitive music can bore you up after sometime and also there are short comings in the town map which has not accurate marking of locations on it. Most importantly, the version of The Sims Medieval for iPhone / iPod Touch have been released but nothing has been done for HD version for Apple iPad and iPad 2 users. However, the present version is compatible with iPad and iPad 2. iPad and iPad 2 users must wait as their version will also come soon, like all many other applications. This game is loaded with a number of options on touchscreen therefore it will be a treat to be played on iPad screen in HD quality. There are only a few avatar options, dungeon keeper or vampire.
