Sony S Series Tablet Android 3.1 Honeycomb Release Date and Price in Europe, USA, Japan

It seems that tablets are going to overtake the production of laptops and personal computers. The rate of advancement in terms of tablet technology is much more faster than that of computers. Every other week we hear something new related to tablet computers and countless news related to applications compatible with these tablets daily. HP faced a severe crash once they released new Touchpad tablet and main reason for the failure of this tablet was poor response from WebOS operating system plus lack of applications supported. Also when so many competitors already exist in the market then things become more tough and prices have to be kept reasonable to make place.

Sony S series first new tablet is going to be launched in Japan on 17 september 2011. It will be the first tablet pc from Sony. We know that Sony is famous for production of high quality products in the past but let’s see wether they can match with Apple, Samsung and HTC in this all new kind of technology warfare.
Sony new S series tablet is going to work on Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system. Display size of this new tablet will be 9.4 inch. Sony S series tablet is expected to be launched in two versions which are 16 GB and 32 GB prices are as under:
1. 16 GB Sony S series tablet – 45000 Yen ($583)
2. 32 GB Sony S series tablet – 53000 Yen ($687)
Prices for Europe will be almost same with minute differences whereas in United States price of 16 GB Sony S series tablet will be kept $499. Sony is also planning to launch P series tablet by November 2011 which is a clear indication that they have now stepped into the market with purpose.
In the end I would like to add success of tablets does not only depend upon quality and looks rather what makes it favorite is the number of applications supported. That is why Sony should work more on applications and Android 3.1 Honeycomb smooth support for this particular tablet.
