The second smartphone of two announced by HTC after Titan was HTC Radar. It is a comparatively low specs smartphone but low specifications are not at the cost of quality at all. HTC Radar is expected to have a screen size of 3.8 inches with super LCD Touchscreen display. Some worth mentioning features of HTC Radar which will make it distinguished among several other competitors in market are, 8 GB internal memory storage capacity, 512 MB of RAM, 5 MP main camera with F2.2 lens and BSI sensor and most important of all 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon SOC.
Its 5MP camera is good for capturing images under low light conditions and has got the ability to carryout 720p HD@30fps video recording. As the phone is loaded with 3G features so you will be able to enjoy video calls using front camera
Windows Phone Mango Operating System will be built in by default on HTC Titan as well as HTC Radar. These two phones are going to be the first ever which will be having this new Operating System built in from company. HTC Radar is externally designed to match with HTC 7-inch Flyer tablet, which has one single aluminum shell wrapped around electronics inside. This smartphone is expected to come in silver and white options. Another thing to be mentioned is that neither of these two options among silver and white will have user-replaceable battery.
Price of HTC Radar is going to be under $199 in United States with some contract and in Europe the price of phone will be €399. Prices may fall as a lot of smartphones are going to be released before the fall of 2011 and there will be a lot of competition among the manufacturers. Smart buyers must also be looking forward to purchase these handsets in Christmas deals by start of December 2011.
Exact release date of HTC Radar is not confirmed so far but is expected to be launched in October 2011.
