In the previous post, we just mentioned that Facebook application for iPad has been released and given you the download link to get hold of it. This application was leaked back in July and the features that were shown in July are somewhat similar to the one find in the app released now. Facebook has added some very good features in it especially the full screen photos. We have explained some of the features you will find on the new app.
Home Page
When you log in to the account, you are taken to the same home page as you see in your browser. User experience is enhanced by using the same user friendly interface. The same blue color navigation bar is at the top which contains friend request icon, messages, news feed and notifications
The main difference you can see in this app and the ones used in other smart phone is the fact that it is zoomed in and the graphics are pretty enhanced. Also there is a sidebar attached which have all the required options.
Sidebar
There is an icon at the top left of home page. This opens up a sidebar menu at the left side of the screen. It contains all the options and you can navigate from here. You can see this in the screen shot below.
Photo Albums
You can view the photos well in the full screen mode which enhances the user experience. You can zoom in and out photos as well drag to next photos giving you ease of access and very nice feeling to view photos. See the screen shot shown below.
Notifications
In the navigation bar at the top, you can see the notifications icon. There is no ticker in this application so you have to check for the notification. You can interact with the people while being on the same page as a small portion at the right side opens to interact with the notifications. However one can hope the integration of ticker in the updates.
Overview
This application should have been released earlier as we don’t see a lot many changes in this version and the one leaked in July that means it was completed at that time. Some features needs to be added in this application including Ticker, Timeline as soon as it is launched for the public. Also synchronization with Spotify etc. Hopefully some upgrades will be released soon to get more out of this application.
