When the screen of your device is lock you cannot access any icon unless that is unlocked. For some purposes you do not want to go through the whole process of unlocking the iDevice again and again and just want to access where your destination with a single tap.
There had been a number of Cydia Tweaks released periodically especially in relation to the subject of lock. There are reasons for so many apps to be released on the same subject and that is no one wants to slide the unlock for some minor tasks and that is all. Second reason is that many people get fed up by looking at same view daily and changing of themes do not really help them so the only thing to add spice to the iDevices are Tweaks. But to enjoy all these tweaks and your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to the optimum limit one must Jailbreak it. If you do not want to Jailbreak your device then it is your own choice but then you will remain yourself stuck to whatever is available only at Apple App Store.
This particular tweak called PowerLock adds up a good about 5 system toggles / icons on the locked screen. They do not harm or make change in your device but just assist you in respiring or reboot of the device without going to unlock procedure completely. The total number of icons displayed on lock screen are 5 which are shown in the figure as well. the functions of all these buttons are as under:
1. Restart.
2. Respiring.
3. Unlock without sliding.
4. Turn Off.
5. Safe Mode.
PowerLock is a nice application which does not even add another icon on your device but it has only one drawback that it requires low system settings which means no WiFi and Bluetooth access. If you are already working with SBSettings then this tweak is again useful as it is compatible with SBSettings. This application is user friendly in terms of its appearance. If you do not like the interface, it can be changed simply because it is theme able.
