Round number 15 of MotoGP starts on 20 September 2011 with practice sessions whereas final race will be held on 2 October 2011, Sunday. This race was delayed due to earthquake in Japan earlier this year. After destruction of Nuclear plant in Fukushima, there were rumors that this race may not be held due to excessive radiations. But after several assurances, this race was at last planned this year.
Motegi is a very different circuit from others and it is really a miracle for the MotoGP viewers that this race is going to take place in this year. The Spaniard Jorge Lorenzo said that it is risk for the drivers to race at Motegi. Above all it is the kind of home ground for Yamaha and Lorezo has enjoyed racing here and maintains the record of best lap in 2008. American Hayden is looking forward to improve his position although he is not a great fan of Japanese circuit. It will be the second ever for Ben Spies as well on Motegi track.
This track was built in 1997 in geometric shape and provides a lot of second gear turns as well. Casey Stoner is currently leading by 44 points and to fill in the gap there are only 4 races in this season left.
