Capitalism Riots – Capitalism Breeds Greed and Greed Leads to Wars

Capitalism leads to warThe philosophy of capitalism by its genesis is hostile to the poor masses. This philosophy weighs and counts everything in terms of money. The best and the most noble actions in the eyes of a capitalist would be to gain maximum profit with minimum input or investment. Capitalism circles around the idea of how to increase one’s wealth. It does not take into account the human sentiments like sacrifice, honesty, sharing the resources with the poor, giving the surplus wealth to those who need it and participation of the poor in exploiting the resources and benefiting them.

Capitalism is all about possession of the resources with monopolies and keeping the circulation of wealth within the narrowest possible circle. If one sees the economic demographic structure in a capitalist country one would find almost 80 to 90 % economy controlled by a small group of tycoons and the whole wealth of the nation concentrated in a few hands. If you expand the scope to international level, you would find the group of powerful capitalist countries controlling the international economy and trade. No wonders that a very large proportion of the global wealth is now concentrated in the US and some other capitalist countries that too in the hands of a few billionaires. Since these billionaires control the economies and politics of their respective countries, they would never let their governments to make people-friendly policies.

The greed of the capitalists for accumulating more and more money by all means compels their governments to exploit the weaker nations and even go to the extent of waging wars against them. Ironically even the wars do not harm these capitalists who are able to make money for the bloodshed and devastation across the world. As they say, war is the most profitable business. The international bankers lend money to the warring nations and hence get richer. The arms and ammunition manufacturing factories expedite their lethal products to be sold at exorbitant prices to the belligerents in the name of ‘self defense’.

So the only effective way to end global conflicts and promote peace is to finish the greed and lust for money and this is possible only with the down fall of capitalism. By this we do not mean that the capitalism may be replaced with socialism, as both the systems nullify the inner self of man. Both the systems treat human beings as mere machines who are to be used for specific purposes only.

People across the globe have realized the destructive profile of capitalism and have come out on the streets. We hope that the pendulum does not swing in favor of socialism as a reaction. People must find a new system that can satisfy the material needs and at the same time give due credence to the human attributes like morality, honesty, sacrifice and character.
